  • ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER/

    QUALITY CONTROL – Warehouse

     

    Job Summary:

    Assist Production/Floor Manager is all aspects of production, daily work flow and planning and oversee Quality Control functions.

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Team Leads, production personnel, Quality Control personnel

     

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that company production processes and procedures are followed
    • Ensure that production manager's directives are followwed
    • Ensure that internal/external quality requirements and expectations are met
    • Collaborate with management and Quality Control personnel to implement procedures, systems and standards of operation
    • Implement and monitor quality assurance standards to ensure consistent product quality.
    • Inspect raw materials, product in process and finished product for quality assurance
    • Organize training for Q.C. staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
    • Offer recommendations to management for improved product process and quality.
    • Maintain records of quality, production procedures and standards
    • Assist the production/floor manager in the daily supervision of team leads and manufacturing personnel, scheduling, disciplinary actions, etc.

     

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Computer literacy
    • Ability to walk/stand for at least 8 hours
    • Ability to read/understand/follow instructions both written and verbal
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be team oriented
    • Willing and able to work overtime if needed

     

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • At least 2 years of Production/manufacturing experience
    • Supervisory/Management experience is a must

     

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to walk, stand, bend, climb for extended periods
    • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
    • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds without assistance

     

  • MOULDER OPERATOR

    Warehouse

     

    Job Summary:

    Run the moulder to produce woodstock

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None

     

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Set up and operate moulder to plane, shape an groove wood stock
    • Read work ticket and examine pattern shape to determine setup procedures
    • Select and install cutting heads and other parts on machine
    • Position patterns and make adjustments as needed
    • Run required production according to work ticket and inspect for quality
    • Communicate issues to team lead and Floor Manager

     

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Ability to walk/stand for at least 8 hours
    • Good mathematical skills, knowledge of units of weight measurement, volume and distance
    • Good mechanical skills, ability to read digital and mechanical calipers, drawings and prints
    • Ability to use various hand tools, wrenches, gauges, etc.
    • Ability to read/understand/follow instructions both written and verbal
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be team oriented
    • Willing and able to work overtime if needed

     

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Some experience in manufacturing

  • PACKAGER - SECOND SHIFT

    Job Summary:

    Fill orders in an accurate and time manner

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None

     

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Fulfill orders as they are received
    • Pick product from designated locations
    • Gather all material as needed for orders (tape, wrap, cardboard, paper, staples, etc.
    • Verify all products and quantities against Packing Slip
    • Prepare tubes and boxes using air staple gun and tape dispenser for packaging orders
    • Enter all pulled material data into computer and finalizing order to be shipped
    • Use computer to read messages, pulling orders from Access system and communicating with office staff via Instance Message
    • Work safely at all times and comply with all safety policies and procedures
    • Keep a clean work area
    • Communicate with fellow packaEgers, office staff, production supervisor and other co-workers
    • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

     

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Ability to operate a pallet jack
    • Ability to walk, stand climb for at least 8 hours picking and packaging customer orders
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to read and understand written instructions
    • Team oriented, but able to work independently
    • Good basic math, counting and written communication skills
    • Excellent attention to details
    • Ability to learn to operate labeling, box closing and other various shipping equipment

  • PRODUCTION FLOW SPECIALIST

    Warehouse

     

    Production Flow Specialist

     

    Job Summary:

    Ensure smooth flow of production orders in a custom order manufacturing facility.

     

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • None

     

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Point of contact that promotes timely product and sub-assembly availability in a made-to-order manufacturing environment
    • Dynamically adjust inventory and sales order flows to support fulfillment and production demand
    • Adjust order and production priorities in response to exceptions or errors in orders, production, fulfillment, shipping and/or customer relationships
    • Clearly and succinctly document actions taken to resolve order flow and fulfillment issues
    • Problem solve order, production and fulfillment issues in a timely manner

     

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Must be highly organized, methodical and detail oriented
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels within the organization
    • Excellent organizational and planning skills
    • Excellent computer skills, preferred in Office 365 for Business (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, OneNote, Visio, etc)
    • Ability to multi-task and flexibility to deal with sudden changes in demand
    • Administrative skills, order entry experience

  • SALES SUPPORT SPECIALIST

    Sales

     

    Job Summary:

    The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the sales team and customers during the sales process. They assist customers in resolving sales-related issues in a timely manner, generally providing real-time support.

     

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Email/Fax failures (confirmations, invoice , ship notes) Send to Sales Rep on file so that they can call the customer. The sales rep. will make sure to research these failed emails and faxes. They will  contact the customer to verify the correct email or fax and update the system as  needed or  determine why it failed
    • Order overages or under runs, delays, adjustment (ex: paper not available before  production run) Make sure you are reaching out to the customer to communicate with them all over/under runs, delays or order adjustments. (Pass anything that is in the priority customer list to the priority admin to communicate) * as of 8/15/19, Due to the large number of emails for delayed orders, we will suspend calling customers for delays on reconfirmed emails until further notice. This does not include Repeatedly Reconfirmed order emails, Under runs, Over Runs or delays communicated from the warehouse.
    • Online Order Registration & Web Submissions - Verify all information on sheet is correctly updated in GoldMine, set up in GM if needed and assign rep, schedule call for rep in GM if there is not one already scheduled. Give both to the sales rep on file once you have completed them.
    • CSR & Sales Sample Request (Keying ; Also packaging if sending from office)
    • Update accounts for sales reps.(company contact forms, buying group updates) - scan into designated server folder once completed and return to sales rep on file
    • Sales Department Voicemail Check
    • Assist sales reps with Vmail direct extension Vmail & direct emails when out of the office (please get Vmail passwords from all reps. Make sure to check their voicemails while they are absent and update them on anything that you handle for them. Reps will forward emails to you upon absence. If absence is for an extended amount of time (more than 1 week), please reach out to IT/Operations Support so the email can temporarily be forwarded to you.
    • First order & reactivated reports (verify calls are scheduled for the rep and make sure samples have been sent every Friday)

    • Review, assist, answer or forward to appropriate department/person emails sent to above email address.

     

    Additional Tasks Not Done Daily.

    • Scanning company contact forms
    • Set up all tradeshows for the sales reps attending. Make sure all registration, booth supplies and set up deadlines are met. Reps will in most cases arrange their own flights and rooms unless they request that Sales support handle those as well. Make sure the show binder contains all information for flights, rooms, showtimes, etc. All binders need to be checked and check list completed a minimum of 30 days prior to show date.
    • Packing for upcoming shows, scheduling freight outbound & inbound, ordering for show. (use show check list)
    • 4. Handle all sample request from shows. Sales reps will normally bring back this information on business cards, spreadsheets or notebook paper.
    • Syntec sample request (see Melissa Deeds for direction on how to handle these)
    • 6. Special sample chain req from various customer, work with Desirae to advise what and how they'd like the chains. (Ex: Novalis, Jaeckle)
    • Goodfellow boards (once a year) review board, review color against master file, pull surface material.
    • Take customer calls when assigned sales rep is not available. Make sure to email sales rep and the department manager to address any customer concerns brought up during that call.
    • Assist Priority Admin with order entry when needed. (Back up)
    • Assist CMP/Tread Coordinator with daily task when needed. (Back up)

     

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Proficiency in MS Office
    • Understanding of sales process, preferably with customer service experience
    • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
